In this section we compile the most frequently asked questions to help you with your doubts.

 1. Where can I pick up and drop off the campervan?

You can pick up and drop off for free at the NATURE CAMPERVANS Headquarters in Sant Antoni, just 200 meters from Gran Via - Urgell bus station and 15 minutes away from Barcelona Airport-El Prat.

 

We also offer pick up and drop off services at the airport::

 

- For pick ups and drop off at Barcelona Airport-El Prat we charge a € 50 fee for each way. We can also pick you up and then you can drop off at our Headquarters.

 

We know that travel delays may occur and that plans may change. Please contact us as soon as possible if your itinerary is affected by weather or other unforeseen forces, we will do our best to accommodate you in the best way. 

 

2. What does the renting include?
In the rental price you have included a fully equipped Volkswagen campervan, proper service and tax. A third party insurance with road assistance is always hired as part of your budget. Our campers are prepared so that on your vacation you do not lack fun and comfort. 

 

3. How old do I have to be to rent a campervan?
At least 25 years old and have a class B driver license valid in Europe.

 

4. How do I confirm the reservation?
To confirm the reservation, you must book online and send the required documentation on the confirmation e-mail.

 

5. What is the cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations made more than 31 days in advance are subject to a €100 fee due to blocking the dates for other clients.

  • Cancellations made 31 days or less before the arrival date: 15% of the total booking amount, plus a €100 fee.

  • Cancellations made 15 days or less before the arrival date: 27% of the total booking amount, plus a €100 fee.

  • Cancellations made 3 days or less before the arrival date: 100% of the total booking amount.

Cancellation fees are charged due to the loss of clients for rejected requests to hold the reservation.

 

6. What documentation do I need to present to pick up the van?

You must send by e-mail and present your Identification or passport along with your driver's license. Without this documentation we will not be able to rent the camper. 

 

7. Why do I have to pay a security deposit?

The security deposit of € 500 is charged in cash when the campervan is collected. It is a fully refundable deposit, which will be used in case there is any damage while renting. Also damage to the vehicle and its interior, tires, windows, basic or extra equipment. It will also be applied to the payment of possible fines. All campers have a third parties Insurance so you are responsible for extra charges if the damage is over 500 euros.

 

8. Can additional drivers be added?

As long as they meet the general requirements and notified nature campervans by sending the 2nd driver documentation (ID and driver's license) you can always add one more driver.

 

9. Are there any restrictions on mileage?

The mileage is unlimited for rentals from 10 days. In rentals of less than 7 days a maximum of 200 km / day is allowed with a cost of € 0.25 + IVA per kilometer of excess. You can always hired unlimited milage as an extra.

 

10. What do I have to take with me?

The campervans are fully-equipped so that you only have to bring your backpack with your luggage. Our recommendation is always to travel light.

 

11. How many people can travel and sleep in the camper?

Our campervans are customized so that 2 adults can sleep comfortably with seating capacity for 4 people.

 

12. Can I bring my dog ​​with me?

 We accept only one dog weighing no more than 7kg for a fee on the extras section, this is for additional cleaning. At no time should the dog be left alone in the camper. You must inform us in advance so that we can confirm your authorization. 

 

13. Can I smoke or light candles in the camper?
Out of respect for future customers, we do not allow smoking inside our campers and for safety reasons, candles cannot be lit inside the campers. In case of signs (remains of cigarette butts, ash, bad smells, burns, etc.), the renter accepts the payment of 100 Euros for its sanitation. 

 

14. Can I leave the country of Spain with the campervan?
Yes but only with prior notification. To leave the Spanish territory you need express authorization from NATURE CAMPERVANS that you must request at the time of booking in order to be covered by the car insurance.

 

15. Do I have to pay any additional cleaning cost to the one already charged in the total budgeted rental? No, as long as you return the camper in the same cleaning condition as you picked it up. If this is not the case and the vehicle is found to be particularly dirty, up to € 100 will be deducted from the deposit for the correct hygiene of the vehicle. Read our section on safety and security policies.

 

16. What time can the camper be picked up and returned?
As a general rule, vehicle deliveries will be made from Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 15:00. If you need alternative pick-up or delivery times, contact us. We will try to adjust to your needs always with prior agreement. 

 

The previously agreed delivery time of the vehicle will be respected with HALF AN HOUR of maximum courtesy. After this period, 50% of a day's rental will be charged as compensation.

IMPORTANT: Pick ups and Returns on Sundays or outside of the delivery hours specified above are charged with 39 euros. When renting the vehicle, consult if the time of delivery is available for any team member to pick up or deliver the campervan.

 

17. How fast does the campervan travel?
The maximum speed will depend on the road. You must respect the speed limits established by law at all times. On the highway and motorway we recommend that you do not exceed 110 km / h. 

 

18. What fuel do campers use?
Our campers are all DIESEL (Never Biodiesel).

 

19. What do you do when there is an accident or vehicle breakdown?

A third party insurance with roadside assistance will always be hired. The first thing you should do is notify NATURE CAMPERVANS immediately and not after finishing your renting so that we can quickly manage your roadside assistance with the insurance company. We advise you to have travel insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances that may affect your vacation. In case of accident, it is mandatory for the driver to fill the ¨parte amistoso¨or DAA, a blue form found on the vehicle stating all details, address of incident, and send pictures.

 

20. Do you have a radio / CD to connect my Mobile?
All our campers are equipped with a radio / cd with Bluetooth.

 

21. Can baby or child seats be installed in the van?

Yes, they can be installed. If you don't want to bring yours, we also have them available for rent. 

 

22. Do we have to put the gas in the kitchen?

We supply the one propane gas for the kitchen. If you run out along the journey, you will find replacement bottles at gas stations. This runs on your account.

23. Are personal items covered by insurance?
No, rental insurance does not cover the loss, deterioration or theft of your belongings. 

​

24. What does the Third Party Vehicle Insurance cover?

Third-party vehicle insurance, covers damages and injuries you cause to other people and their property while operating your vehicle. Third-party insurance does not cover damages cause by you to your own vehicle. Third Party Insurance includes healthcare and civil responsability.

25. What is the Service Fee?

Once per rental we apply a service fee that covers our preparation and delivery services, bedding and sheet, towels and utensiles cleaning, gas cartridges, 24/7 service,  and much more.

Before arriving we will send you our own Van life guides around Catalonia and give you our best advice and suggestions, we will also be in contact via whatsapp for anything you need.

27. When should I reserve my campervan?

Our summer campervan rentals book quickly, so don't put things off during peak season. We suggest making your reservation at least a few weeks in advance, but you can always block it months in advance. Feel free to contact us at any time.
